This is my why...

Hello Everyone! I'm sure most of you have seen via social media that my mother is currently in the hospital! I appreciate everyones support and prayers so much! We are keeping positive attitudes as she continues to go through multiple tests. I will keep everyone updated as soon as I know what is going on.
Since I am spending most of my time in the hospital with her (including nights), I have been trying to make good use of it! I will continue to post and make videos to the best of my ability. I am determined to make the best out of this situation! This is just a reminder of why I do what I do everyday.

Again, I cannot thank all of you enough! Your support, prayers, and help have made an impact!

Abilities Expo in Chicago!

The Abilities Expo in Chicago was amazing. It was great to meet so many different people dealing with multiple disabilities. Connecting people with the correct resources is vital for pain patients. I am glad I was able to meet members and help the U.S. Pain Foundation connect people to their beneficial resources. It was also interesting to see new innovations for those who deal with disabilities. The technology of todays world is impressive!

Hearing peoples stories is one of my favorite things to do. I was able to watch a group of young girls perform dances while in wheelchairs! Talk about Dancing Through the Pain! I am so very impressed by their positivity and work ethic. It not easy to get around in a wheel chair let alone perform choreographed Hip-Hop and Modern dance pieces!

The U.S. Pain Foundation and I have some exciting things coming up! I cannot wait to announce these to you!

My Future... Olivet Nazarene University

After just graduating high school I have been asked countless times "Where are you going to college?", "What are you getting a degree in?" , "Why did you choose the college you are attending?" So, I recently posted on social media where I was attending college but, I wanted to explain a little more in depth here.

Choosing a university was a struggle for me. It took a lot of research and prayer to decide where I should go. To be honest Olivet Nazarene University was not even on my radar. For those of you who do not know, I attended a middle college high school for my first three high school years. Since our high school was on a college campus I began taking college classes at the age of thirteen. Our school was big on making plans. Plans on what classes to take, and even plans on where we wanted to attend college. Here was my plan; Attend Point Loma Nazarene University or University of California Los Angeles and major in Art History. At thirteen I though I had it all figured out, but let me tell you I could not have been more wrong.

Now I am writing this post more confident than ever with my current plan. Probably because it is not my plan, it is Gods. My mom first mentioned Olivet to me towards the beginning of my senior year. I brushed it off because no way was I going to a random state or to some random school. My mom attended North West Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, a sister school to Olivet. After speaking with the staff only a few times via phone call and email, something just felt right. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and nice. I knew I needed to attend Olivet. Here I am, writing this article letting everyone know that the plan has changed! Pretty much a full 180! haha.I will now be attending Olivet Nazarene University and be majoring in Social Work!

My new adventure will begin soon with my roommate Avery! I could not be more excited to see what God has in store during this up and coming school year. I am excited to meet new people and be in yet another new place. I will keep everyone updated, thank you for your support! The pictures below are from orientation! "

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

Of course I have to post on National Selfie Day! I miss baby Beau!
